There’s More to Home Theatre Than Just a Big Screen

more-to-a-home-theatre-than-big-screenIf you have residential clients that are really into home entertainment, you can help them out in a big way. You see, sometimes homeowners get so focused on the components of their home entertainment system (Big screen LED or Plasma TV, surround-sound audio, Blueray® DVD, streaming video, etc.) that they lose sight of the room that’s holding all their equipment.

Even the most advanced home entertainment system can’t compete with Mother Nature. If you can’t properly control the lighting in the room, you might as well be watching an old 19” black and white TV! Uncontrolled glare can make the sharpest, brightest HD picture look like you’re watching a blank white screen. That’s where a remote controlled shade system from Lutron can really save the day. You can let everybody get situated in his or her seat and then close the shades with a push of a button.

There’s more to creating the right ambience than just blocking out glare. With a light and shade control system, a wall dimmer, or a wireless control, you can dim your lights to the perfect level—recreating that moment in the theatre when the lights go down and the show begins. And when your show is over, you don’t have to jar guests or family members back to reality with lights that are way too bright for eyes that have acclimated to the dark for the last two hours. You can gradually bring the lights back up—giving everyone’s eyes a chance to adjust.

You can take a closer look at some of the Lutron components that make this possible. Check out the components below so you’ll have an idea of what to recommend to your customers.  When you show them how to enhance their viewing pleasure, you’ll be the star of the show!

RadioRA® 2
Sivoia® QS Wireless
