The Opportunity
As a Specification Sales Representative, you will be responsible for the development of client relationships with Architects, Engineers, Electrical Contractors, and Lighting Designers.

Responsibilities Include…

  • Developing cooperative working relationships with customers, manufacturers, and outside sales personnel
  • Maintaining profitability by meeting sales targets and managing expenses
  • Identifying and securing new markets within your territory
  • Displaying good judgment while making critical decisions in a timely manner
  • Working with customers and factories on any challenges or concerns in order to reach a final resolution
  • Keeping up to date on new technologies and applying them to your job
  • Understanding all aspects of customer service including order entry, returns, project management, and obtaining catalog numbers and pricing for replacement parts
  • Ensuring a quick and proper response to all customer requests
  • Membership in key specification organizations

  • The ability to collect data, establish facts, define problems, and draw valid conclusions

Overview:

This position provides inside sales support in the Commercial Lighting Controls Division in our Costa Mesa office. You will be responsible for successfully supporting a project team to drive large scale commercial lighting projects towards profitability from take-off to job close out. A successful Project representative will work closely with outside sales, dealers/distributors, and installers to understand and communicate project details. You will also coordinate internally with operations, manufacturing, engineering, and remote service centers to ensure successful job completion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (includes the following; other duties may be assigned):

  • Actively communicate with inside and outside project teams
  • Provide prompt status updates and professional problem resolution
  • Coordinate the accurate and on-time delivery of project support documentation including submittals
  • Create detailed submittal and installation related documentation specific to Lutron systems being installed
  • Work closely with Field Service to share project information

Distribution Sales Person

Los Angeles and Orange County, CA

Western Lighting & Energy Controls provides lighting and control products to electrical distributors in Southern California. We are looking for a new team member to be responsible for business development of distributor client relationships and sales functions in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Candidate will manage all aspects of sales process through the distribution channel.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Developing cooperative working relationships with distributor customers, manufacturers, and inside sales personnel
  • Make consistent sales calls on assigned customer list
  • Work with Distributors and Contractors to solve lighting product & lighting control needs
  • Ensure quick and proper response to all reasonable customer requests
  • Understand all aspects of customer and sales service including order entry, returns, and quotations

 Our Ideal Candidate Will Have…

  • Experience in the Lighting Industry
  • Electrical Distributor experience a plus (Counter sales, inside sales, etc)
  • Excellent sales skills with the ability to build strong client relationships, sell value, and provide excellent customer service

Field Service Person

Southern California

Overview:

Western Lighting & Energy Controls is looking for a new team member to be a part of our Field Service team. This position provides installation and programming services of lighting control systems for electrical contractors, design-build contractors, and other lighting professionals in San Diego County, Orange County, Riverside County, and Los Angeles County.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (includes the following; other duties may be assigned):

  • Have extensive training in commercial and residential lighting and controls
  • Possess the skills and experience necessary to install and program lighting control systems including Lutron’s Vive and others.
  • Understand electrical codes for California to include Title 24.
  • Developing cooperative working relationships with customers, manufacturers, and outside sales personnel
  • Displaying good judgment while making critical decisions in a timely manner
  • Possess superior product knowledge
